Predictions have been generated only by using the orbits of the
moon. The database for the predictweather website was installed and sealed nearly six
years ago - but it could just as easily have been twenty or 200.
Official meteorologists using daily satellite pictures can forecast for
the next 3 days, but using the moon we can go much further. Long range
forecasting looks at trends. Due to the greater time-scale we ask that
you allow a +/- 24 hr error, and at certain peak orbit periods when,
due to the moon's changing speed the weather speeds up or slows down,
possibly longer. Also, temperatures are only trends, going up or down.
Major cities' data were collected before the days of increased
reflective glass, asphalt and vehicle fumes which means today you may
have to add up to 4C.
Read on for recent predictions for Australia. I have highlighted towns and regions in bold.
This is a list of independant consultants from around Australia that take a biological approach to agricultural systems. Please feel free to contact them directly, and remember to mention that you discovered them via this website!

physics/chaordic science. Establishing organizational patterns on your farm
could be the most bang for the buck you have ever seen-not that biology,
minerals or chemistry can be ignored. Let us show you how these can work better
as well."
"BioFarm Agricultural is a Queensland(Australia) based provider of quality agricultural products and services for soil and water management, looking after the needs of farmers and water-users throughout the state, the country and internationally. 1) Australian-made magnetic water conditioners for hard water, scaling, calcium, iron and salinity problems in the household, farm or industry. 2) Treatment systems for iron problems in bore waters, and for acidic waters. 3) Premium soil microbial incoculants, quality fish emulsions for sustainable farming. 4) Aquaterr soil moisture meters. 4) Sustainable soil management consultancy and professional advice"

A VAM scientist and I have been screening samples from the wheat belt and have tested them in greenhouse trials and have found a strain that
is a real performer on wheat....significantly increasing biomass and yield...which
is what we want...more carbon biomass in the soil and paid for by giving better
wheat yields (+ reducing dependence on P fertilisers and improving drought
tolerance).
I am presently looking for funding to
proceed into field trials and production of the spores (which we now have a
unique technology that allows us to make it very economically...priced to give ALL
wheat farmers access to the technology). We hope to produce a few hundred kg's
this season for field trials. I have a number of large growers very eager to be
involved.
Interestingly, there is a bit of research
about that indicates VAM do much better in the presence of N fixing bacteria,
and visa versa. Imagine growing crops with TwinN & VAM and maybe a few
humates and a seed treatment alone, and toping up the P budget in the soil with
some local feedlot manure every few years. That would be low tech, low input
carbon smart farming now wouldn't it!
I highly recommend the services of Environmental Analysis Laboratory in Lismore. They are fully accredited with NATA and associated with the Southern Cross University. But more importantly, from a biological perspective they have close ties with the Soil Fooweb Institute.
They do a full range of tests from water and chemicals through to soils, leaves and composts. While the attached document below gives you instructions on how to conduct a test, note that I also analyse soil and leaf tests.
If you are interested in having your soil or leaf tests analysed with recommendations based on biological approaches feel free to email me, or simply mention From The Soil Up when you send in your sample. Your sample will automatically be tested using the Nutrient Therapy Soil Analysis - NT-Pack-01 - ($93.50inc per sample) or Nutrient Therapy Leaf Analysis - NP-Pack-01 - ($66inc per sample) and the results will be emailed directly to me, though you can request a copy be forwarded to yourself as well.
From the Soil Up will then invoice you for the lab analysis as well as the recommendations (Soil Therapy $38.50inc per sample or Leaf Therapy $27.50inc per sample) - so don't send money to EAL.
