This is a wonderful impassioned email sent as a response to Landlines story about Christine Jones and soil carbon.

 Hi Christine,
Recently watched ABC programme featuring your work . The farmers assoc. were less than positive & claimed "too good to be true" & no evidence. THEY ARE OBVIOUSLY NOT LISTENING. I am a Pat Coleby client, She is 80+ years old & still farming !! (written many books). She remembers the old ways - b4 our reliance on chemicals & teaches us that properly balanced soil = healthy animals/food without the need for chemicals.

I've been following her advice as to regenerating my 5 acre paddocks & caring for my x3 horses for the last 4years. Vet visits are well & truly a thing of the past, QLD ITCH disappeared !! I adopted a lice/mite/worm infested filly brumby from RSPCA & cured her of parasites with sulphur & copper. Had no transferrance of pests to other horses & shes a picture of health!! My fire weed has gone & now have dandelions & thistles !! About to apply lime materials from 2nd soil test & am looking forward to a paddock full of different native grasses approx 18 months from now.  I'm sure if u contacted her she would be able to give you a long list of farms/clients as evidence.

The company Vitec are also big advocates & have many, many clients who can validate the many & varied pluses to natural farming. Hugo & Helen from Farming Secrets could also provide you with a long list of clients & like minded scientists from around the world. There are many of us putting chemicals behind us & reaping the rewards.

I have decided to grow our own food now. My paddocks will no longer be defficient in magnesium , calcium, sulphur, copper, boron  etc - this is answer to our health epidemics - heart disease, asthma, arthritus, osteoporosis etc. I'm sure of it. My horses prove it after just 4 years. For me it explains why my grandparents & previous generations of my family lived til their early eighties , but my parents, aunties & uncles are struggling to make 65 ! & the pattern repeats itself in my partners family - our food is no longer keeping us healthy, & some of it's killing us !

I wish you all the luck in the world - fingers crossed you can finally convince them all that we took a terribly wrong turn when we abandoned the "old ways" & turned to chemical farming  - SOIL HEALTH IS THE FOUNDATION OF FARMING - you've got to practise law of return & put back what your crop takes out. We don't farm anymore- we bloody mine.
