Carbon Farming Handbook Invitation E-mail

An Invitation from the Carbon Coalition (Modified from original letter)

Hello,

One way or another, the world will soon be paying farmers to grow healthier vegetation in healthier soil... to capture carbon and to feed more people using less water. The US Government, the World Bank, the European Commission and the UN FAO have all made major commitments to increasing soil carbon in recent days. It is no longer a case of whether, it's a matter of when.

Who will farmers turn to for information and help? That's why we have published the world's first Carbon Farming Handbook. And why we are inviting like-minded companies to partner with us in bringing this information to the growing numbers of Carbon Farmers.

What is inside? The Carbon Farming Handbook is the ideal introduction. Easy to read and understand, it takes the reader through each stage a step at a time. Here they will find answers to all the fundamental questions:
  • What is Soil Carbon?
  • Soil Organic Matter - why is it important?
  • Soil Organic Carbon - how do you grow it?
  • What is Carbon Farming? How is it different?
  • Which are the Best Microbes for growing Carbon?
  • How can you encourage them?
  • Is Soil Biology the new frontier?
  • How do you Calculate Soil Carbon Credits?
  • How do you sell your soil carbon?
  • How much could you to get for it? And more...
There are more than 125 separate sections of Useful Information:
  • You can ‘learn the language' with our 100+ "Carbon Vocab" section.
  • You can use any one of 13 online Carbon Calculators to calculate your Methane and Nitrous Oxide emissions.
  • Use the "Percentage to Tonnages" Model to Work out how much soil carbon you have captured when you have the results of soil carbon tests.
  • Access to 45 official online resource sites.
  • Links to 36 slide shows from Carbon Farming Conferences.
  • 5 Soil Carbon Trading Systems profiled.
  • ...and there is more coming...

The proceeds of the sale of the Carbon Farming Handbook go towards funding the Carbon Coalition which has been campaigning full time over the past 3 years for "Soil Carbon Rights"for growers. The Convenors of the Coalition are woolgrowers from Central Western NSW and the coalition is a community of like-minded growers, agronomists, scientists or extension officers.

Call me on 6374 0329. Let's discuss your business and the Carbon Opportunity.
