LifeForce Base Blend
A do-it-yourself,
living fertiliser, to restore productive life to unproductive
soils. Based on a combination of minerals, humates and microbes that are spread out in layers and
then pushed up into a pile before addition of freshly brewed
Nutri-Life 4/20 microbes. The pile is then reworked and left
sitting
for two weeks.
This blend provides three microbe-supportive, natural
fertilisers, which serve as a home base and breeding medium for
an inoculum of task specific microbes. Soft rock phosphate,
Nutri-Mate Organic Humates and paramagnetic basalt are combined
prior to an inoculation of Nutri-Life 4/20 (a blend of
beneficial microbes).
The synergy between these four components involves the
following: The insoluble calcium, phosphate and trace elements
in soft rock phosphate and the water-retaining clay that this
material comprises, act as a food and home base for the
microbes, which, in turn, solubilise the phosphate component.
The organic carbon in the humates also houses the beneficials,
which solubilise the insoluble humic acid found in the humates.
Finally, the paramagnetism of the basalt facilitates more
vigorous cell division of microbes, which, in turn, solubilise
the insoluble minerals in the basalt. The end result is a living
fertiliser, which has proven tremendously effective in the
field.
The Life-Force® Blend can be supplied in its component
parts for the manufacture of an inexpensive D.I.Y fertiliser, or
it can be supplied in a pre-blended form.

Deepwater NSW 2003 Trial
Scott Macansh of Deepwater Station, Deepwater,
employed a field monitoring service (Agricultural Information & Monitoring
Services, Guyra) to measure and assess the benefits of cell grazing sheep and
cattle. 2-Mile paddock was selected as the trial site, and was divided into two
14 hectare sites, 2M1W and 2M1E. Each paddock is stocked at 3000 DSE for 1-2
days, then rested for 40 - 80 days. Each December a soil test is taken along
permanent transects in each paddock, and each December and May vegetation is
assessed for % coverage, basal
density and plant biodiversity.
During the first
two years both paddocks had no fertilisers added, but in 2003, Scott decided to
trial an application of LifeForce Base Blend on 2M1W with some optional
extras to help maximise the effect based on a soil test (see
below).

Gypsum.....................................100kg/ha

During the year Scott could see no
visible differences between the two sites, but was pleasantly surprised when
the December 2003 soil tests came back.
Minerally, there was an overall improvement in the LifeForce Base Blend
trial site (2M1W) compared to the Control (2M1E), and when also compared
against past soil tests for 2002 and 2001, where soil samples from both
paddocks had been combined, the LifeForce trial indicated substantial increases
in zinc, potassium, calcium, organic matter and the CEC (see * in Table 1), and to a lesser extent
pH, phosphorus, sulfur and iron (see bold
in Table 1). And these results were then backed up with a recorded 30% increase in pasture biomass.

Graman NSW 2004 Trial
Jim and Judy Hain
of Burmah, Graman, decided to trial some LifeForce Base Blend blend on a poor performing
pasture paddock beside the house, and as with Deepwater Station, no visual
differences were noted during the year, but the same trends in their mineral
analysis are showing up again a year later, with substantial increases in zinc,
potassium, calcium and the CEC, but this time an increase in phosphate was also
substantial.

Nutri-Phos Guano (Granules)
Fossilised seabird
droppings offer a combination of soluble and slow-release
phosphate in combination with dense mineralisation. Available in
powdered or granular form.
Nutri-Phos Guano contains 13% phosphorus,
which will not lock up and become insoluble. It also contains
30% calcium and good trace element levels, including 1400 ppm of
zinc. Nutri-Phos Guano is an excellent option for inclusion in
planting blends as 30% of the citrate soluble.
Reactive rock phosphate can take two years to release its
phosphorus load, and in alkaline soils it will never become
plant-available. Nutri-Phos Guano, by contrast, combines
rapid-release characteristics with a controlled release pattern,
to ensure adequate phosphate supply throughout the season.
Benefits
- Biological Farmers of
Australia (BFA) Registered Product 456AI.
- Combines rapid-release
characteristics with a controlled release pattern, to ensure
adequate phosphate supply throughout the season.
- Ideal for use as a
granulated starter P.
- Contains a significant
percentage of citrate-soluble phosphate and can be used as a
highly effective starter phosphate. Almost one third of the
13% phosphorus content of Nutri-Phos Guano is
citrate-soluble.
- Cadmium-free - unlike
chemically treated commercial phosphates, which contain
problem levels of the heavy metal cadmium, Nutri-Phos Guano
is virtually cadmium-free.
- Has tremendous potential
for cost-effective supplementation of live stock, as it
contains less than 0.2% flouride.
- Ideal for organic growers
seeking a soluble phosphate kick-start.

Nutri-Phos Soft Rock Phoshate
A colloidal calcium phosphate that can
never lock up, in stark contrast to other phosphate sources.
This exceptional fertiliser includes 10% phosphorus, 24%
calcium, 26% silicon and a rich lode of trace elements. A
microbe friendly bio-phosphate, which is an integral part of our
soil regeneration program. This is one of the few phosphate
sources that do not have problems with the heavy metal cadmium
and it becomes plant-available in a fraction of the time
involved with reactive rock phosphate.
